Top 10 Blochain Hiring Companies
Today we feature the top ten companies that dominate the blockchain job market.
The demand to fill job posts related to blockchain has increased the past year. The reason, according to experts: companies using the distributed ledger tech are moving from pilot programs to real-world deployments.
Most of these companies are “old schools” established US based companies. They have the highest share of job postings per million of roles related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain over the past year.
This is based on new data from job search site indeed.com.
Between February 2018 and February 2019, the share of job posting in the field per million increased by 90% and an increase by 4080% from 2016 to 2019, however the share of job searches decreased by 67% between 2018 and 2019.
Context is everything though. 4080% may seem like crazy high but to put it in context – the number of blockchain-related job postings on Indeed in February 2017 was 12 per million; that number rose to 88.4 per million this past February. By comparison, the number of jobs for data scientists was 1,000 per million postings in February.
So while blockchain postings are growing fast, the overall numbers remain behind more established IT career choices.
The median base salary of jobs related to blockchain is 84 884 USD, whereas blockchain engineers have the average salary amounting to 150 000 – 175 000 USD, according to stats provided by hired.com.
